Terms of sale
Orders and prices
All prices are in euros and include VAT. Shipping costs are shown in your bag and at checkout before you pay. A contract is made when you receive our order confirmation by email.
The minimum order value is €15 before shipping. Shipping is free on orders of €45 or more.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Delivery
We deliver to the countries of the European Union. Loose herbs and spices are packed and sent by our fulfilment partner in the Netherlands; house blends are packed and sent by us. An order with both may arrive as two parcels. Expected delivery times are shown on the website. If we cannot deliver within 30 days, we will tell you and you may cancel free of charge.
Product information
Ingredients, allergens, net weight and best-before date are printed on each bag. Product photos and jar illustrations on the website are for presentation; colours of natural products vary between harvests.
Complaints
Email us within a reasonable time after you discover a problem and we will reply within 14 days. You can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Returns and right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Tell us by email within that period and send the products back within 14 days after telling us. Return shipping is at your own cost unless the product is damaged or wrong.
Herbs and spices are food in sealed packaging. For health and hygiene reasons, the right of withdrawal does not apply once the seal of a bag has been broken (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, article 16(e)).
We refund the purchase price and the original standard shipping cost within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the payment method you used.
If a product arrives damaged, spoiled or different from what you ordered, email us a photo and we will replace it or refund you.
Privacy
We collect only what we need to deliver your order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order details.
- Why: to process and deliver your order, send you order emails and handle questions or returns.
- Who receives it: Stripe (payment), our fulfilment partner (to pack and ship loose herbs), the carrier (delivery) and Cloudflare (website hosting). Each processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- How long: order and invoice records are kept for 7 years because Dutch tax law requires it. Other data is deleted when it is no longer needed.
- Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to its use. Email us. You can also complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails unless you sign up for them.
Cookies and local storage
The website stores your bag, chosen language and delivery country in your own browser (local storage) so they are remembered between visits. This is needed for the shop to work and is not used for tracking. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent first.
